2020 is here. It is that time for renewed vigor in accomplishing goals. Many people set health goals, financial goals, family goals, and many more. Among the Church, many people like to renew their Bible reading goals. We know from Scripture the reason it is good to incorporate Scripture into our daily life.
This article seeks to answer in basic terms how the Gospel transforms institutions like business and the workplace as well as nations. We understand that the Gospel transforms individuals when they repent and turn to Christ in faith. Yet, how does this translate into transforming business and the workplace outside the four walls of the Church? Yes, people can get saved outside the four walls of the church, but how does the Gospel actually change the institutions built by the people? That is what this article seeks to look at. My thesis is quite simple: Christians who have been individually touched and changed by the Gospel and brought into Salvation are to go out and be bold in their faith, living the Gospel before the eyes of the world.

“The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” (Italics added)
Matthew 9:37-38 (ESV)
Join me for the next 30 days in praying daily that the Lord of the Harvest will send out laborers.

A look into another culture and a renewed life in Christ. This is from an interview I had to write on for a Cultural Anthropology class. The paper was meant to focus on the religion and culture prior to knowing Christ, though I include a little segment at the end of the man Lalo has become since coming to know Christ.
Have you ever wondered how you can add missions to your children's life? Well my new friend is passionate about teaching her children about missions and the big world around them.
Here are some ways that she likes to add missions to her children's homeschool studies.
1. Collect missionary prayer cards and missionary pictures.
2. Hang them somewhere visible for you and your children to see daily and make a point of praying when you see the various pictures on the wall.
3. Set apart an allotment of time to share about what God is doing around the world through his workers/missionaries for Jill this is the month of November. Leading up to the month of November she collects Newsletters from any and every missionary you can find.
April 13 I started my journey to Germany at Steiger International. I was one of the first volunteers and we started right away knowing that the mission school would start April 27. We had a health inspection and a living inspection that we needed to pass before the school started and if we did not….we would have to close the school. With our team working hard for 2 weeks and lots of prayer we thankfully passed. Also during this, we took time to be intentional with team bonding. 8 different countries represented, 17 volunteers, and having the same heart and mission was a recipe for success or disaster. Thankfully it is beyond successful! Every night I think about how our team is such a support to each other and what it is a picture of being the body of Christ.
Today in honor of a dear woman's birthday I have decided to write about her and what she is doing in the world. This young lady is, Malaina. Malaina is a bright and joyful friend to be around! She is always up for an adventure and is so very talented! She attended Bethany Global University (BGU) where she completed her BA with a double Major in Biblical Studies and Intercultural Sciences. Life following Christ doesn't always pan out like you plan. There are curves and hills, bumps and twists, but it is always worth it! Malaina's story has a couple of these about which we are speaking, but we will get to that. Buckle up as I introduce you to a fascinating woman running after Christ.
"I used to tell young preachers, in order to preach you've got to have the power of God on your life. Now I tell them, in order to tie your shoes you've got to have the power of God on your life.”
