Rebekah Witt is a missionary serving in Kenya with her husband, Jason and their 4 daughters: Righteous (10), Neveah (9), Charis (7), Samara (5). I came to know her and her family while studying as an intern in Kenya for my BA, they were my site leaders. I asked her to share a little bit about being a mother and missionary. We are going to look at some of the issues she faces. Where will they go to school? If they are home-schooled what curriculum do you choose? What are the struggles? What are the wins?

Have you ever thought about missions? Have you ever considered moving abroad to bring the Gospel to those who have not heard? If you answered yes to any of these, I'm sure you've pondered the idea of how to go about doing so. Someone I have had the honor of getting to know is Carol Freeman. Truly, a gem to learn from, as well as a wealth of knowledge! Having grown up on the mission field as a missionary kid, then serving in the Philippines along side her husband Tim, raising her 3 of their 5 children there in the Philippines, then coming back to the U.S. and investing their time and energy into youth training to go to the mission field and creative access. Her and her husband, Tim, have put in countless hours of labor working for those who have not heard the Gospel to hear the GOOD news. Having worked with various methods to convey the Gospel: Bible translation, friendship evangelism, church planting, prayer ministry, deliverance ministries, and numerous other fields, they are a wealth of knowledge! We are going to look a little bit into her story of when they first moved to the field; how and where the decided to live and why.

"I had to raise the money myself, so I sold candy in my high school; for a year. A whole school year." This was an influential trip in Rebekah's life. That year she worked so hard to sell candy and raise the funds for a 3 week mission trip, she had no idea what God had in-store for both her and those she would encounter, as this would be the beginning of beautiful life in missions.

This is an interview with Raymond Muckuk, and will be part 1 of 2. In this first one we will learn a little bit about him and in the later we will look into the ministry he is doing.  He is a First Nations Native from the Ojibwe Tribe. First Nations is the Native Americans of Canada. His Native name is Gaa-Bimiwi-dood which, in English, means, “He who carries the staff.” For the remainder of this paper he will be referred to as Ray, for this is his preferred name – his English name. Ray grew up outside of Pickle Lake, Canada. If he would associate himself with a city or town, this was it.

This is Pastor Levi, a missions pastor for Highridge Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Called into the ministry at the young age of 18, and having worked with various facets of the church, one role being youth pastor to me and my younger siblings. What an honor it was having someone with such a heart for the lost and dying world to be our youth pastor. There are few I know with such a great desire to share Christ with everyone.
I asked him to share a little bit about his role as a missions pastor and what that entails as well as how he personally stays engaged with Christ daily while balancing family and ministry.
